Wendell Berry said, “The care of the Earth is our most ancient and most worthy and, after all, our most pleasing responsibility. To cherish what remains of it and to foster its renewal is our only hope.”
With a career in conservation and passion for gardening, Ali comes to Botanic Garden Missoula with a Berry-inspired hope to create a new community space in Missoula that connects us to the beauty of plants, artistic and cultural gardens, the flow of cleansing waters, sacred ceremonies and gatherings, and the opportunity to enhance healing and wellness. She's thrilled to engage with community members interested in seeing the garden grow and evolve!

A lifetime gardener and musician, I believe that, like music, the nurturing and appreciation of plants and flowers is a gift that brings joy, peace and strength. It is a privilege to be a part of the growth of Botanic Garden Missoula and the gifts it will bring to our community.

Botanic Gardens are favorite places to visit when travelling. Annalisa wants to see a conservatory in her hometown for everyone to enjoy.
Germaine Conrad
BGM Founder and Board Member
Germaine was impressed by her first view, many many years ago, of precise and handsome hedges in the Edinburgh's Royal Botanical Gardens. She's convinced that without a botanical garden, Missoula isn't quite culturally complete.

Jennifer Hungerford is a 6th generation Montanan who has lived in Missoula for 33 years. She has always had an interest in vegetable gardening and creating beautiful flower beds for her home. Exploring botanic gardens throughout the US has been one of her favorite pastimes. She volunteered with BGM and immediately caught the vision for a botanic garden in Missoula. As a new board member, Jennifer looks forward to watching the new botanical garden grow and reach its goals as a welcoming and creative space for Missoulians and future visitors to enjoy.
